How the Series Works

Run as few or as many as you like. For each race, you get points proportional to your pace as a percentage of the winner's pace, with the winner getting 100 points, and, for example, a hypothetical runner at 75% of the winner's pace getting 75 points. Your best six races determine your final standing for the series. In addition, for the "Stonehead" competition, your total points for all races is summed. For Pisgah and Stone Cat, both race distances count, for Wapack And Back it’s the 21.5 mile race, and for all other dual-distance races, the longer race is the Grand Tree Race.

8	XTERRA French River Trail Run, 18K, Saturday June 28 2014 Oxford, MA mramultisport race site (link is no longer valid) - Pre-register by June 26th for discount. Due to problems with course markings in this race, there are no results to post that would fairly reflect runner performance. The race will not be scored for overall GT final standings (average of "Best 6" races), but anyone who ran French River and runs only five other GT races will get still an official GT series finish based on the average of their five other races. In the Stonehead competition (sum of scores for all GT races run), to give people credit for racing French River, anyone running French River will be awarded a score toward total points equal to the average of their other scores.
