Run as few or as many as you like. For each race, you get points proportional to your pace as a percentage of the winner's pace, with the winner getting 100 points, and, for example, a hypothetical runner at 75% of the winner's pace getting 75 points. Your best six races determine your final standing for the series. In addition, for the &Stonehead& competition, your total points for all races is summed.
For Stone Cat this year, either the marathon or the 50 miler may be used for Grand Tree points - let us know what you think of that! As usual, either Pisgah distance counts for the Grand Tree. For all other dual-distance races, the longer race is the Grand Tree Race (scoring for the Northfield Mt and Cranmore Hill races, with different distances for men's and women's races this year as USATF Mt Series qualifiers, are tentatively to be set for both genders by the one fastest pace from either distance).
Race directors: please let us (WMAC Webmaster) know of any changes, links to add, applications to post, etc, for your race listing - Thanks.
