In the 2007 Grand Tree, 1858 people have run at least one race,
and 67 officially completed the series by running the canonical six or more races.
The 2007 Series Winners (average of best six scores as percentage of winning pace)
are Greg Hammett with a perfect 100% and Deb Livingston with 78.5%. Ben Nephew,
runner up for the men, trailed Greg by a mere 1.2 milliHammetts. Vanessa Wood
was about 3% behind Deb, a solid result from only six races.
In the Total Points "Stonehead" competition, Thomas Parker edged out
this year's 50-59 age group winner Bob Sharkey, 1428 to 1409 points. Chris Johnson,
in third at 1375 points, notably ran all 23 races of the Grand Tree season,
a stonehead's stonehead. Michelle Roy was the top lady Stonehead, who, at 918 points
from 15 races, had no close competition.
Many thanks to all the race directors, running clubs, and volunteers who made
these races possible. Run happy.
